Getting the entire team in one room, away from laptops and sprint boards, changed the energy completely. The evening was unhurried and a long way from the usual work routine.
From the moment people arrived, the room had a good energy. Conversations ran late, stories came up that many had not heard before, and the newer faces in the team got a proper look at where the company started. The founders moved around the room catching up with everyone, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, the evening stopped feeling like a work event and started feeling like what it was: a group of people who have built something together, taking a night to sit with that. Six years is a real milestone, and everyone in the room had played some part in reaching it.
Beagle Security was founded on May 23rd, 2020. The starting point was a clear frustration: application security testing was harder to fit into real development workflows than it needed to be. The founders believed that could change, and set out to build something that proved it. Six years later, that work has produced a platform used by engineering and security teams across the world. But the distance between day one and year six is not just measured in product releases or customer numbers. It is measured in decisions made under pressure, features that did not work out, hires that changed everything, and problems that took years to get right. Looking back on that journey together made the anniversary feel personal in a way that milestone posts rarely capture.
The part of the evening that no one will forget was the stories.
Both founders spoke about what building Beagle Security has actually looked like from the inside. The early days when the team was small and everything felt uncertain. The first customers who took a chance on the product. The moments that tested everyone and the ones that made it clear the company was onto something real. Team members followed with their own accounts. What brought them to Beagle Security, what the first weeks felt like, the projects they are still proud of, and the colleagues who shaped how they work. Every story came from a different angle, but together they built a picture of a company that has grown without losing what made it worth joining in the first place. Those stories, told by the people who lived them, are what Beagle Security’s six years actually look like up close.
The team gathered for the cutting, and the cheers that followed set the tone for the rest of the night. Dinner came after, and the conversations that went with it were the best part of the evening. Founders and team members sat together, ate together, and talked the way people do when the work pressure is off. Some of it was about the early days, some of it about what is coming next, and a fair bit of it was just the kind of laughter that does not need a reason. By the time the evening wrapped up, the milestone felt less like a number and more like a reflection of the people who made it possible.
Six years is worth celebrating, the evening made clear that the best parts of this journey are still ahead.
The team that filled that room built the foundation Beagle Security stands on today. The product is stronger, the team is larger, and the problem is better understood than it has ever been. Year seven starts from a better position than any year before it.
To everyone who has been part of this, from the earliest days to the newest team members, this anniversary belongs to all of you.
Here is to the new chapter.
