besec.ctf was designed to be both accessible for beginners and engaging for seasoned professionals. Participants tackled a series of thought-provoking challenges across categories like mobile based challenges, network based attacked, web exploits, reverse engineering, and more.
Each task was crafted to test skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity, with solutions requiring both technical knowledge and strategic thinking. As the competition heated up, teams worked against the clock, exploring vulnerabilities, analyzing data, and pushing their cybersecurity skills to the limit.
The energy in the room was incredible, as participants collaborated, debated, and celebrated every breakthrough. Teams from different backgrounds brought unique perspectives, and it was inspiring to see their determination and camaraderie throughout the event. For us, seeing this level of engagement and enthusiasm reaffirmed our mission: creating tools and experiences that equip individuals to confront today’s complex security challenges.
After two intense days of competition, one team emerged victorious: team R38007, from UST. Their outstanding skills, innovative approach to problem-solving, and unwavering determination set them apart from the rest. R38007 solved an impressive number of challenges, showcasing both technical proficiency and teamwork that helped them maintain their lead throughout the event.
As a team, we were thrilled to see the besec.ctf event foster a deep sense of curiosity and learning among participants. Some participants were new to CTFs, while others were seasoned competitors. By offering challenges that catered to all experience levels, we aimed to create a welcoming environment where everyone could dive into the world of ethical hacking and security testing.
