Vulnerability

Mida eFramework is a comprehensive suite of video and voice technologies that is compliant with almost all major UC platforms. In Mida eFramework 2.9.0 and later, there is an OS Command Injection vulnerability that enables an attacker to gain Remote Code Execution (RCE) with administrative (root) privileges. There is no need for authentication.

Mitigation / Precaution

  • To resolve this flaw, you must upgrade Mida eFramework to the most recent version.
  • ACL (Access Control List) may also be used to authorise or deny software access from untrusted networks.
