Vulnerability

Due to unsafe deserialization calls of unauthenticated Java objects to the Apache Commons Collections (ACC) library, the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) installed on the remote Windows host is vulnerable to remote code execution. This can be used by an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target computer.

Mitigation / Precaution

Apply hotfix EPO5xHF1106041.zip after upgrading to McAfee ePO version 5.1.3 / 5.3.1.
