Description

Apache’s .htaccess files can be manipulated to expose sensitive information, such as server configurations and authentication details. This can lead to unauthorized access and control of the affected system.

Recommendation

Restrict or remove access to the .htaccess file by configuring the Apache Web Server software to disallow directory listing or limit access to authorized users.
