Helpscout Takeover Detection

For customer care professionals, helpscout offers an email-based customer assistance platform, a knowledge base tool, and an embeddable search/contact widget. It was affected by a subdomain takeover vulnerability. An attacker can claim and control the victim’s subdomain if this vulnerability is successfully exploited.

Mitigation / Precaution

Check your DNS-configuration for subdomains pointing to services not in use.
