Apache CouchDB is an open source database that focuses on ease of use and becoming a “database that fully embraces the web”. CouchDB was exposed to remote code execution problems, which is caused by differences in the execution of statements due to the difference in the way Erlang and JavaScript parse JSON.

Affected version

before 1.7.0 and 2.x before 2.1.1

Mitigation / Precaution

We suggest that you update Apache CouchDB to a version > 1.7.0 in order to fix this vulnerability.
